Yay, the Lakers Won!

Okay really quick, Laker won, barely. WE game (BEAST IS BACK), good food, good company, always many laughs. I know, just a little obsessed with Lo, but she is truly to die for! And a really cute pic of Princess Leah. Now Thatch, you have to read my blog, don't be a hater TBONE just because my music is better than yours!

A bit of culture...

'So it's really not East or West, it's really part of the human experience that you are given certain conditioning and a certain character and that you have to live with that, and make the best you can of it. That is why we love the Hindu tradition, because of all these paradoxes we are confronted with - on the one hand this image of immobility and original knowledge and original uncontaminated being that we carry within ourselves, and on the other hand the deepest human desire: the desire for a narrative. And interesting narratives imply conflict. A narrative without conflict is boring - this is why I get very diffident about presentations of yoga or contemplative practices as "conflict free". When I hear about peace I get mad, because there is no such thing as peace, there is always war. It's either war with the other, or war within. If you are wise, it's war within.'

This is about as New York we could get!

Can you believe Hill's is with child?
Last night was the night. I met up with the girls at Salt Creek around 6 pm. The bar was so packed with business people and such drinking and watching the Lakers (unfortunately loose) and the Celtics. To my dismay, I thought I would see a bunch of gals having their martinis and going to the see Sex, but no. Lindsday met up with us, but didn't end up going to see the movie (she wanted to watch the game). My thoughts on the movie? If anyone cares, eeeh...Let me start by saying, it was overall a good movie. Great fashion, great hair, funny moments etc. It really wasn't anything like the actual show, it was almost corny? I still loved it, I am actually considering buying the matching sequence robes Smith and Samantha wore on New Years, for Billy and myself? Thoughts? I just love sitting next to Sara during movies. I feel like were the sista's talking, at a very low pitch, and commenting throughout the whole movie. Charlotte's little adopted mandarin child really really killed me. Is it wrong to detest a child? The only good thing about that kid was her cupcake Judith Leiber purse, that was it. SPOILER ALERT..It was really Lily's fault that Big couldn't get out of the limo. If that little beotch would have just handed Carrie's cell to her, we would have had a perfect wedding, no? I digress, overall liked the movie, it gives me hope. If Big & Carrie can make it after 10 years together, so can Billy and I! Hint to Billy if you are reading this...Big proposed to Carrie by putting on a fabulous Manolo Blahnik on her foot...hint hint hint, that's all I need!

Love the bag, hope ya win!

Finally, Sex & The City

Tonight I have a date with Sar, Hill, Alli and Linds for what will be a great night! First we are starting and Salt Creek for apps and drinks and then the movie every female has been waiting to see. I am so excited, even though I will be missing Bubba's softball game, and not to mention the Lake Joints too! By the way, Meg and Sar, aren't you so proud of me and my blog? 3 days in a row!!

My Trip To Ohio

Well, I am not sure if you know, most of you do, but about a week a go my dad called me on my way to work. He informed me that he was in the hospital and needed to a quadruple open heart by-pass surgery. My mom and I flew out immediately to Ohio (mind you 18 years a go he had the same surgery, not quadruple though). My mom and I spent about a week in Toledo Ohio (my mom about 2 weeks). We had a very interesting time. It was a lot of fun actually, loads of laughs, a lot of time spent in the hospital watching Clint Eastwood movies and reminiscing, but all and all was an unexpected great trip. My Dad is doing much better, he has been back at his home for the past 2 weeks. He lives in a great part of downtown Toledo, I know what could be so great about it. The street he lives on almost reminds me of a smaller pace New York city street. Cute antique shops, farmers market, pizza joints, coffee shops, bars and a stable for the police horses! We made friends with the captain of the police, who let us pet and play with the horses. Even though the trip was serious, we ended up making lots of friends (people are so friendly back there), and realizing how much it sucks to fly standby. My mom (and dad as you all know) have worked for the airlines for about 38 plus years. We spent most of our time in stuck in Chicago. My social butterfly mom ran into all of her little friends, had many cups of Starbucks and not to mention ran into a little bunny rabbit outside of our hotel while running to the airport to try to get on yet another flight..Was that rabbit the white rabbit or what? The Alice's were in Wonderland for sure.

I mean please...

How cute is this little muffin? There has been many adorable moments caught of this little munchkin, however this particular one has to be one of my favs! This is my honorary niece Lola Kate Peterson. She is the funniest little thing I have ever met. We just spent some time with her last week, and she truly had us cracking up. Lola was crawling all over the place even with 3 dogs at her side. Her facial expressions are the very best, she is like a little person. Uncle Bubba and Lola were the cutest. I think they bonded so well because Uncle Bubba is almost like a "Big Baby".She looks a lot like her dad, but seems to have a personality a lot like her mom. Once her mom & dad put her to bed, we all seemed to return back to childhood. We had a smoke out (literally) with the Petersons Fire Pit. We made smores, and made fun of Billy, he looked like a perverted old man sitting in the chair passing out the smores. Jen and I had to run away in fright, only because Thatch ate a dog poop flavored smores. The laughs and childhood did not end there. After a lot of peer pressure, I was forced to play with the Peterson's new WE bowling and tennis games. It was quite fun, and a slight workout as well. The best part of the whole evening was watching Thatch create Billy's and my characters. Every time I am around the Petersons I always leave with a sore stomach from laughing so hard, but this one takes the cake. I could not even breath. We all know how competitive Thatcher is, but even with our little characters on a video game, not to mention the actual game itself. I basically looked like a Giant, punk, chola beast, hence my characters name Beast. But, poor Billy. Thatcher really made him perversely grotesque. After many rounds of bowling, Jen pretty much kicked all of our asses, I came in second (with the help of Jen and Bubba), Bubba came in 3rd, and Thatch, I think last. The end of the evening eventually came, of course to our dismay. We left the Petersons, funny enough Jen was still arguing with Thatch on why he made my character so ugly.
